We are currently recruiting for a maintenance shift engineer to join our high volume manufacturing environment. As the Reliable Shift Engineer, you are the backbone of high-speed FMCG production site. The Maintenance engineer will be working on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern covering both days and nights. £59,400 per annum.

This is a hands-on role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, working on a rotating continental shift pattern. You (Reliable Shift Engineer) will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production and packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining, fault-finding, and optimising high-speed production and packaging machinery
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to support production targets
  • Driving continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reliability

The Successful Reliable Shift Engineer:

  • Experience within an FMCG, food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environment or general manufacturing
  • An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of PLCs, automation, conveyors, and packaging lines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A proactive, team-focused approach with a strong safety mindset
