Remote with one day a week in the Bedford office. From humble beginnings over twenty years ago, we are proud to have become one MID-SYUG. We now have a vacancy for a Senior Buyer to join our established Buying team focusing on pet medication.

You will work alongside the Head of to influence strategic plans and developments, create a top‐line strategy for the department, ensure key performance metrics relating to overall category performance are measured closely and achieved, and manage supplier performance. The role will also include data analysis, supplier negotiations, and market and pricing reviews. As our Senior Buyer, you will also be responsible for the supervision and performance of more junior buyers in the team.

We can offer hybrid working with only one day a week in the office, an attractive salary, excellent culture, and of course well‐behaved doggies are allowed to come to the office!

Qualifications
  • Prior experience of buying for pharmaceuticals (human or pet care)
  • Some experience of managing/supervising more junior members of staff
  • Commercially astute with experience/knowledge of trends, pricing, margins, rebates in commercial retail
  • Able to analyse complex sets of data
  • Must be a pet lover!
