Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing subcontractor environment. The role will support the commercial management of multiple projects, working closely with site teams, clients, and supply chain partners. You will be involved from project start through to final account, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with or managing the commercial aspects of carpentry/joinery packages
- Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Cost reporting and budget control
- Supporting procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Attending site meetings and client meetings as required
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and project teams
- Assisting with contract administration and commercial documentation
Experience & Requirements
- Ideally 2–5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role
- Sub-contractor background preferred, but candidates from other construction backgrounds will be considered
- Experience working on construction projects (residential or commercial beneficial)
- Good understanding of cost control, valuations, and variations
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
- Willingness to split time between office and site
