Turner CNC Machinist in Derby

A well-established precision engineering company in Nottingham is recruiting for two experienced CNC Turners. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing manufacturer renowned for producing high-quality precision components across a range of industries.

As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Manufacturing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Selecting appropriate tooling, machine settings, and cutting parameters for each job.
• Carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintaining exceptional quality standards and working to tight tolerances.
• Meeting production schedules while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Carrying out routine machine maintenance and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
• Identifying opportunities to improve machining processes and productivity.
• Complying with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support production objectives.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment.
• Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines.
• A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a skilled manufacturing team.
• A positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality components.
• Experience machining a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement techniques.
• Experience working within an ISO-accredited manufacturing environment.

Additional Information:

• Salary: £17.50 - £18.50 per hour, depending on experience.
