Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Northwich? You will be Multi-Skilled, ideally have an Electrical bias (however Mechanical Engineers with Electrical qualifications will be considered) and have experience of working within a FMCG environment. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £55,000 to work a 4on 4off days and nights shift pattern (2days 2nights).

As a Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:

  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment
  • Proficient in RCA and problem solving
  • Planned maintenance and Maintenance requests
  • Adherence to statutory checks and GMP
  • Involvement in CI and Capital projects
  • Ensuring that machinery is maintained, and repaired to a high standard
  • Train and motivate production teams to improve plant and equipment understanding
  • To carry out all responsibilities and practices with the aim of producing food safely and to required internal & external specifications within a HACCP framework

Hours of work: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off with shifts working from 7-7.

Suitable Candidates:

  • Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer. Qualified to NVQ Level 3
  • Experience with electrical & mechanical maintenance - FMCG manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A good working knowledge of Inverters, HMI's, Robotics, PLC controls, CMMS systems and Continuous Improvement techniques
