We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing company in Aldershot. As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be supporting the operations team by keeping machinery running efficiently, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve reliability whilst maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The Role:

  • Take the lead on machine breakdowns and fault resolution
  • Support and carry out preventative maintenance
  • Order and manage engineering spare parts
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers when needed
  • Use and improve preventative/predictive maintenance systems (SAP PM)
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical work and support machine operators

Ideal Candidate:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - ideally apprentice trained
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within manufacturing environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
  • Knowledge of AC & DC drives (e.g. Siemens, ABB, SSD)
  • Understanding of Siemens S5/S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Good IT skills and willingness to learn SAP PM
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
