Technical Sales Engineer – German Speaking

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a global technology organisation as it expands its European Inside Sales team in London.

We’re looking for a German-speaking Technical Sales Engineer to work alongside Account Managers, providing the technical expertise needed to understand customer requirements, develop solutions and support opportunities through the sales process.

This is a customer-facing technology role, combining technical knowledge with commercial and communication skills.

You’ll help customers understand how technology can solve their operational challenges, while supporting the wider sales team with solution positioning and product knowledge.

Full training will be provided on the clients products and service offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Work alongside Account Managers to understand customer requirements and identify suitable technology solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the sales process.
  • Deliver virtual product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and partners.
  • Translate complex technology into clear, practical benefits for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the development of proposals, quotations and solution recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and technology partners across the German-speaking market.
  • Keep up to date with products, technology developments, market trends and competitors.
  • Provide product and technical training to members of the Inside Sales team.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers and technical teams across Europe.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in technical sales, pre-sales or solutions consulting in a similar customer-facing technology role.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Good understanding of technology products and the ability to quickly learn new solutions.
  • Confident presenting and demonstrating technology to customers.
  • Able to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a sales environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
