As the business continues its international growth, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the commercial team and drive expansion into key accounts - particularly across the Warranty, Service, and Maintenance phases of turbine operations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in securing new partnerships with OEMs and Energy Utilities companies. This is a strategic, solutions-led role focused on long-term value creation, not transactional sales.
The successful candidate will identify, shape, and win new service contracts - particularly in complex work packages such as Heavy Lift, Campaigns, and Planned Maintenance, with both white- and blue-collar resource models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on identifying and developing new commercial opportunities within target sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across OEMs and asset owners
- Deliver compelling proposals and close high-value service contracts
- Conduct market research to identify trends and inform business strategy
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences
- Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless client experience
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development within the wind/energy or related industry
- Proven commercial success with a strong grasp of the energy or related experience
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with major utilities or OEMs in the energy sector
- HND or equivalent qualification (degree preferred)
- German language skills (desirable but not essential)
