Working for a global technology company, we are looking for a Category Manager to oversee their laptops and tablet range across Northern Europe. The Category Manager drives the overall Laptop and Tablet business with a focus on key strategic retailers and sales channels.

As Category Manager, you will be part of a team for Northern Europe (UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland), responsible for defining and executing the consumer product and solution go-to-market strategy; influencing product roadmap, business models and strategy; and managing the long-term health of the business through actionable customer insights to and from partners.

Responsibilities:
Leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment, digital transformation, and land joint business objectives with partners.
Define & own the implementation of product-specific channel strategy and investments, focusing on the retail sales channel.
Design product strategic programs, incentives, promotions, and upper funnel activities in partnership with the Business & Sales Operations (BSO) team and the product marketing teams.
Influence long-range product and Go To Market (GTM) planning.
Drive product/solutions consumer channel GTM partnering across internal stakeholders.
Be the internal and external voice of the product/solution with our partners in the region.
Manage a portfolio of investments, channels, and motions to maximize short-term results (revenue, scorecard) and lifetime value.
Create field/local enablement to execute the priorities:

  1. Tools, process, stakeholder management, and alignment across functions.
  2. Creation and localization of partner pitch deck/storytelling.
  3. WW and regional seasonal guidance.
  4. Retail GTM readiness.
  5. Pilot new GTM & Sales motions to future-proof our business.
  6. Direct To Consumer (not through partner) product GTM e.g. PR, locally owned & operated Advertising (ATL & BTL), partnerships, and events.
  7. Manage Launch Events – Leverage PR Moments to showcase new products and tell our innovation story across the entire portfolio.
  8. Accountable for product revenue, P&L, and compensable metric results including forecasting.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Category management, product management, marketing strategy, business planning, product planning, or related work experience.
Experience managing and expanding a category and attaining sales and profitability targets within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.

Relevant Skills:
Knowledge of consumer needs, buying practices, sales goals, and the retail environment related to the Consumer PC Category.
Experience with consumer product purchasing and inventory control.
Ability to analyze sales data, draw relevant conclusions, develop accurate business plans and forecasts, and drive execution.
Understanding of budget, profit & loss, margin, investment, and operating expense accountability.
Growth mindset and innovative thinking to identify and execute business opportunities.
Ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups and connect with diverse audiences.
Thought leader, risk-taker, and lifelong learner; digital and social influencer in the market.
Experience planning and executing marketing strategies and activities that drive business results while remaining true to the brand.
Experience translating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into actionable plans to accelerate or capitalize on growth opportunities.
