Are you a Welder who can MIG and TIG Weld, looking for a new opportunity to join a busy manufacturing business in Oldham?
The Role:
- Set up and use welding equipment and related machinery safely and correctly
- Carry out high-quality MIG and TIG welding to the required standards and specifications
- Carry out welding preparation work including cleaning, grinding, drilling and preparing joints as required
- Check work for accuracy, quality and compliance with drawings and specifications
- Work safely with overhead cranes, lifting equipment and mechanical handling equipment where trained and authorised
- Report defects, drawing issues, material concerns or production problems to the line manager
Suitable Candidate:
- Experienced MIG / TIG Welder
- Worked within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment previously
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
- Strong practical MIG and TIG Welding skills, including preparation, measuring and finishing work
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and proactive with the ability to work as part of a team
