Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Kettering? You will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working within a FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of £53,820 plus excellent benefits, working 4 on 4 off days for 3 blocks then 1 block of nights and back to days.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will involve:
- Carrying out regular maintenance and inspections on production machinery to help prevent faults and keep equipment running reliably.
- Assisting in the development of predictive and planned maintenance systems for all production equipment and the implementation of those systems.
- Quickly responding to machine breakdowns, identifying the cause of the issue, and completing repairs or arranging specialist support where needed.
- Setting up, adjusting, and changing over machinery to keep production running efficiently and reduce downtime.
- Inspecting and calibrating equipment to ensure it operates safely and meets quality and performance standards.
- Fault finding in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines' relevant documentation.
- Ensuring that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
- Working with production teams to identify ways to improve equipment performance and support more efficient processes.
Suitable Candidates:
- Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or any multi-skilled engineering electrical ONC / HNC in Engineering - or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with electrical & mechanical maintenance - FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
