Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting an experienced ERP Distribution & Manufacturing Consultant on behalf of our client.

This is a permanent, remote role for candidates based in the UK.

Regular travel to client sites throughout the UK is required as part of the role and occasional travel to Ireland may also be required from time to time, with all business travel expenses fully covered.

Role

This is an opportunity for someone who understands the realities of manufacturing, supply chain and distribution and who enjoys combining EPR expertise with practical business problem-solving.

This is a hands-on consulting role where no two projects are the same.

One day you could be mapping a manufacturing process with a Production Manager.

The next, you could be helping a Warehouse Manager improve inventory control, configuring Epicor functionality, supporting a go-live or working with senior leadership on a wider ERP transformation programme.

As an Epicor ERP Distribution & Manufacturing Consultant, you'll work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver practical, innovative solutions.

You'll become a trusted advisor to clients, helping them understand what's possible with Epicor and more importantly, how to make it work for their business.

Key Areas of Expertise That Will Set You Apart

Epicor Kinetic, ERP transformation programmes, manufacturing and production operations, MRP, advanced planning and scheduling, supply chain, procurement and inventory management, warehouse and logistics operations, engineering and PLM, Epicor BAQs, BPM and dashboards, integrations and APIs, EDI and barcode solutions, manufacturing quality processes, lean manufacturing, and multi-site or multi-company environments.

You don't need to tick every box.

What matters most is that you have strong ERP Distribution & Manufacturing process expertise, a practical approach to consultancy and a genuine desire to help businesses work smarter, faster and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

You'll take ownership of the functional side of Epicor ERP, working across projects, implementations and ongoing optimisation.

  • Lead the functional delivery of Epicor ERP Manufacturing and Distribution solutions.
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into practical ERP solutions.
  • Analyse and improve core manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, inventory and supply chain processes.
  • Investigate and resolve complex functional issues.
  • Support ERP implementations, upgrades, testing, data migration and go-live activities.
  • Support integrations between Epicor and third-party solutions and work alongside technical consultants and developers on integrations and system enhancements.
  • Produce process documentation, functional specifications and training materials.
  • Provide training, guidance and knowledge transfer to clients teams.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (Kinetic) or an equivalent ERP system.
  • Experience implementing, configuring and supporting Manufacturing and / or Distribution functionality.
  • Significant consulting experience working within manufacturing, distribution or supply chain environments.
  • Strong understanding of operational business processes.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into practical ERP solutions.
  • Experience delivering ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects.
  • Excellent analytical and process-mapping skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The confidence to work directly with operational teams, senior management and business owners.

How to prepare for a job interview at Auxilia Group Recruitment

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
