The successful candidate will join an expanding, dedicated team at Auxetec Limited, who are developing the world’s first synthetic, molecular, auxetic liquid crystal elastomer (LCE). The main responsibilities of the candidate will be tailoring the auxetic, mechanical, thermal and optical properties of our unique material to build application development and achieve successful commercialisation. You will be involved in formulation development of the monomer solution, and testing and characterisation of the elastomer. Working closely with the other members of the team, the candidate will prepare specific samples to meet client requirements. While most of the time in this role will be lab-based, there will be elements of client interaction required.
