Demolition Site Manager

Our client – an award-winning, multidisciplinary environmental services provider based in Oxfordshire – is seeking an experienced Demolition Site Manager to join their dynamic team. Renowned for delivering high-quality services across demolition, asbestos removal, land remediation, and rail infrastructure sectors throughout the South and the Midlands, our client is committed to excellence in health, safety, and environmental performance.

About the Role

As a Demolition Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations on projects where our client acts as Principal Contractor. Reporting to Demolition Contracts Managers and working closely with Demolition Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Quantity Surveyors, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing site operations and ensuring compliance with legislative, health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Coordinating with CDM dutyholders and other divisions to ensure smooth, efficient project delivery
  • Leading and motivating a diverse team comprising Demolition Supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors
  • Monitoring progress against project programmes and quality standards while maintaining detailed site records and documentation
  • Managing resources, equipment inspections, and ensuring that safe demolition procedures are followed at all times

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Demolition Supervisor or similar role (minimum five years’ experience)
  • Valid Driving Licence and possession of key certifications including HS&E Touchscreen test for Supervisors, CCDO Supervisor card, and SMSTS
  • Demonstrated ability to understand building structures, safe demolition practices, and asbestos survey implications
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a strong grasp of site audit and risk assessment procedures
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with excellent communication and organizational skills

£18-£22 ph (40 hr week) plus company van, fuel card, pension scheme and adhoc performance incentives.
