Autumnal Partners are partnering with a leading Mid-Market Private Equity Fund that is looking to hire a recently qualified accountant to join their Fund Finance team. The award-winning Fund Manager has a very strong investment track record, and the additional headcount is to support the strong performance and growth of their business.

The business has an operating model which gives the team exposure to value add areas not often present at this level including reviewing financial models, valuations and support in the portfolio analysis requests.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting pack
  • Perform analytical reviews on the financial statements.
  • Assist with fund quarterly valuation assessments
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP
  • Reviewing and posting various fund accounting transactions
  • Providing data to facilitate the preparation of the Exec Committee board pack
  • Support fund investment acquisitions and exits
  • Perform fund treasury management analysis periodically.
  • Monitor sources and uses of funds/ cash requirements.
  • Contribute towards the quarterly IRR projections process, providing input for the models
  • Perform analytical reviews on the financial statements.
  • Ad hoc Analysis and projects

Applicants should be recently qualified accountants looking for their first move out of practice, ideally you will have trained in the audit of Private Equity funds but the client will also consider candidates who have audited Financial Services businesses who can demonstrate a keen interest in learning and developing along a fund accounting career pathway.

Applicants must have first time passes in their ACA and very strong supporting academic records with a preference for those who studied STEM subjects at prestigious UK or international universities.
