Autumnal Partners are currently partnered with a leading multi-strategy Private Equity fund seeking to appoint a Senior Associate into its Portfolio Monitoring function. This is a highly visible role at the centre of the investment platform, working closely with deal teams, operating partners, and senior leadership to drive data-led insight, risk oversight, and value creation across a diversified international portfolio.
The successful candidate will take ownership of portfolio intelligence, performance tracking, and valuation support, acting as a critical bridge between portfolio companies and the investment decision-making process. The remit combines analytical depth with commercial judgement and offers genuine progression for individuals looking to build a long-term career in private equity portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead portfolio performance monitoring, KPI frameworks, and firmwide dashboards
- Analyse quarterly and monthly portfolio company reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities early
- Support valuation processes and investment committee materials
- Partner with portfolio company leadership teams to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and operational insight
- Contribute to post-investment value creation initiatives and exit readiness
- Enhance portfolio monitoring systems, tools, and processes
- Manage and develop junior team members and represent the function internally and externally
- Qualified (CFA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong exposure to portfolio oversight, financial analysis, and performance reporting with a Private Equity or alternatives environment
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; experience with BI and portfolio analytics tools highly advantageous
- Commercial, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, institutional investment environment
