Portfolio Analyst - Sustainable Investment Private Equity Fund - £65k + 25% bonus

Autumnal Partners are exclusively supporting a rapidly growing Private Equity fund manager in their search for a qualified accountant to join them as a portfolio analyst. The firm’s investment mandates are focused on making sustainable investments across industries, predominantly in the UK.

They have recently closed their 3rd fund and the business has been very successful to date with high IRR’s in their first two funds.

With 20 people at the firm in total, you will have high visibility working with the investment team and the finance teams of the portfolio companies, producing analytics to help support the ongoing assessment of their portfolio whilst looking for opportunities to create value.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing improvements in the management, financial and sustainability reporting from external providers and management teams across the portfolio companies.
• Performance analysis of current and potential investments by assisting in the creation and maintenance of investment valuation and fund return models, including the monitoring of capital structures and detailed waterfall analysis.
• Support the production of the fund management accounts.
• Liaise with portfolio companies to review reporting and other processes to ensure these meet the requirements of the fund manager.
• Implement sustainability and ESG reporting within the funds and their investee companies.

Candidate Profile

The client is keen to bring in someone who has worked with businesses across different industries as their portfolio is varied. They assume this could be achieved having trained at a practice outside of the conventional Big 4 FS/Private Equity audit space. Applications would be welcomed from those who trained in smaller and medium-sized practices.

The ideal candidate would have experience in analysing large data sets and producing insightful reporting. This would likely be someone who has performed an FP&A role post qualification, but they are open to ideas on this point.

Strong academics are a non-negotiable, which would include high grades at A-level/IB and then a minimum 2:1 degree classification, and finally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
