Portfolio Reporting & Data Analyst | Private Markets / Infrastructure Investor
Autumnal Partners has been retained on an exclusive basis by a specialist private markets investor to find a Portfolio Reporting & Data Analyst to join their infrastructure investment team on a fixed-term basis.
The role
This role sits at the intersection of data, reporting and investment support, with a strong focus on portfolio-level performance analysis and helping the business modernise how it collects, analyses and reports on portfolio information — including exploring how AI and automation can improve the speed and quality of reporting outputs. You'll work closely with investment professionals and internal stakeholders across the asset lifecycle, taking ownership of reporting workstreams from day one.
Core responsibilities:
- Analyse portfolio company information to support performance monitoring across financial and operational dimensions
- Support benchmarking and comparative analysis across funds, assets, investee companies and relevant peer sets
- Review and improve portfolio monitoring systems and reporting from external providers, fund administrators and management teams
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies and process weaknesses, and propose and implement practical solutions — including exploring AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency and quality
- Support the development of reporting tools, dashboards and data processes, with an eye to where automation and AI can add value
- Collect, interpret and analyse portfolio data across multiple sources
- Partner with investment, finance, compliance and portfolio company teams to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and decision-useful
- Support responses to investor and client reporting requests as required
- Contribute to sustainability and impact reporting where relevant to the wider portfolio reporting remit
What we're looking for
- Qualified accountant with likely c2-4 years PQE
- 2-5 years' relevant experience in data & analytics, portfolio monitoring, consulting, or a related field within asset management, private markets or infrastructure
- Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail
- An interest in how technology and AI can improve reporting and data processes
- Understanding of fund reporting, portfolio monitoring or investment committee processes
- Understanding of data governance, controls and audit requirements in a reporting context
- Experience analysing portfolio or fund performance in an investment, private markets or infrastructure environment
