Autumnal Partners is currently supporting a leading VC fund in their search for a Portfolio & Finance Associate to support the day-to-day financial and operational management of its venture capital platform. Working closely with the Partners, you will play a key role across portfolio monitoring, valuations, investor reporting, fund operations and fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quarterly portfolio valuations in accordance with IPEV guidelines, including financial modelling and cap table analysis.
- Prepare board packs, portfolio performance reports and management information for senior stakeholders.
- Support the operational execution of investments from term sheet through to completion, coordinating internal and external parties.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and maintain relationships with management teams across the portfolio.
- Assist with fundraising activities, including investor due diligence materials, placement agent coordination and compliance documentation.
- Support investor relations through the preparation of LP reporting and responses to investor requests.
- Coordinate ESG data collection and reporting across the portfolio.
- Work closely with external fund administrators and auditors to ensure efficient fund operations.
- Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards and financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Ideal Background:
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience within venture capital, private equity, fund finance, audit or asset management.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Experience preparing investor or board reporting.
- Excellent Excel skills, with Power BI, VBA or data automation experience advantageous.
- Highly organised with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work in a lean, fast-paced investment environment.
