Autumnal Partners are exclusively partnered with a newly launched venture capital–focused fund services business, built by fund managers for fund managers. The business has 10 staff in total currently including two pre-eminent figures in Private Equity. As they continue to grow, they’re looking for a Fund Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping how their clients are supported across the full fund lifecycle.
This is a builder role in every sense — ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working closely with GPs in a fast-moving VC environment. Due to the size of client in most cases you will interact directly with founders of the VC businesses rather than for instance a Finance Director.
The client is deliberately open-minded about where you come from. You might currently be working:
- In-house at a VC or PE fund
- Within a fund administration business
- In audit or assurance covering private equity or venture capital clients
- In another client-facing fund operations or investor services role
What matters most is that you bring an understanding of PE/VC fund accounting principles and the fund administration lifecycle, and can apply that knowledge in a practical, client-facing way.
You’ll take ownership of the operational life cycle of fund clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for GPs and coordinating closely with LPs and internal stakeholders. Early on, this role will be hands-on, with real influence over how processes are designed and scaled.
Key areas include:
- Fund and investor onboarding (GPs, LPs, and related entities)
- Oversight of capital calls, investor reporting, and post-close activity
- Acting as the senior point of contact for non-accounting operational queries
- Performing and overseeing KYC/AML and due diligence processes
- Helping to design and implement fund operations procedures from the ground up
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years’ experience in fund operations, fund accounting, audit, or administration
- A practical understanding of VC/PE structures, fund reporting, and investor processes
- Comfort working in a hands-on, high-growth environment
- Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and confidence dealing with clients
- An interest in helping build something from an early stage
