Autumnal Partners are exclusively partnered with a leading Credit Hedge Fund based in the West End who are searching for an outstanding recently qualified chartered accountant to join their fund finance team. The business currently has two senior fund accountants working across their two main platforms and the role is designed to give exposure to both strategies (distressed debt/special situations and CLOs). This will be an excellent development opportunity for someone coming out of financial services audit keen to get hands on experience in a close knit team. The business has approximately 80 staff and on a daily basis you will interact with the trading team, investor relations, operations and risk and C suite giving you an outstanding platform to develop hands on business knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Production of daily P&L and investigation of any discrepancies
- Work with the administrator and internal team to produce NAVs
- Liaise with Portfolio Managers on valuations and prepare agendas for valuation committees
- Oversee distributions of accrued income to investors
- Assist with the fund year-end audits with assistance from other senior members of the team
- Periodic investor reporting
Applicants must have first class academics with a degree in a STEM subject at a Russell group university or international equivalent and be recently qualified ideally from a top 10 accountancy practice with experience of auditing financial services clients. The client will also consider candidates with similar academic profiles from third party administrators or product control functions in banks.
