Autumnal Partners are currently partnered with a leading global private equity fund manager with a sophisticated multi-strategy platform spanning buyout, growth equity, credit, and real assets. They are searching for an FP&A Director to specifically focus on their carry programme, overseeing the delivery, coordination, and projection of carried interest arrangements across the business. This is a key leadership role focused on managing complex, cross-functional projects and acting as the primary liaison to the most senior individuals in their business across all carry-related matters.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. As Director, you will:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of carry programmes across multiple asset classes and investment strategies.
- Manage carry projection modelling and scenario planning, providing clarity and insight to senior leadership and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners on carry projections and related financial insight.
- Collaborate closely with teams across FP&A, tax, legal, HR, and investment leadership to ensure accuracy, alignment, and strategic integration of carry frameworks.
- Oversee a small, high-performing team focused on modelling, analysis, and operational support.
We are not looking for traditional carry experts — instead, we’re looking for a commercially sharp, structured, and strategic project leader with strong financial acumen.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A background in FP&A, corporate finance, or transaction services with experience managing cross-functional finance initiatives.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA / ACA / CPA or equivalent) qualification is essential.
- Experience working in or with private equity, asset management, or professional services clients.
- Proven ability to lead projects across stakeholders with differing priorities and timelines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior internal stakeholders including partners.
