To lead the housekeeping team and ensure the care home maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, infection control, and presentation, creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff.
- Prepare rotas and manage daily housekeeping operations.
- Ensure all bedrooms, communal areas, and facilities are cleaned to a high standard.
- Monitor infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Manage laundry services and housekeeping supplies.
- Carry out regular quality checks and audits.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Support compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
- Promote a welcoming, homely environment for residents.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of cleaning and infection control procedures.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Care home or healthcare experience desirable.
