About Autotrader

We're the most trusted, most visited automotive marketplace in the UK. We bring together vehicle buyers and sellers to give them real choices. Cars may be what we're best known for but we're also the place for pretty much everything else on wheels, from e-bikes to caravans. In the automotive world, change is a constant, that's why we take our job of untangling the complex car-buying journey very seriously. At our core, we're all about people. We go our own way while embracing diversity and celebrating our differences. We dedicate ourselves to the idea that we work better together.

About the role

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our field-based team, covering a patch that includes Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge and Peterborough. In this field-based role, you'll be a trusted business partner and the face of Autotrader, supporting our independent retailer customers. You'll build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular face-to-face site visits, working directly with customers to understand their goals and advise on short and long-term solutions. You'll take a consultative approach to drive customers' growth, using Autotrader data to influence decisions and deliver tangible commercial results. Using strong storytelling and presentation skills, you'll simplify complex insights and advise customers on the best digital products to optimise their efficiency. You'll collaborate regularly with internal Autotrader stakeholders including other Account Managers and product specialists to deliver optimal outcomes for your customers. This is a field-based role with regular travel (minimum 3 days per week) across the East Anglia region, and occasionally further afield, to support our retailer customers on-site. Alongside this, we have monthly collaboration time at our Autotrader offices, which will include overnight stays.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a B2B Account Management role, conducting face-to-face customer visits
  • Demonstrated achievement of commercial KPIs such as revenue growth, product adoption, or retention
  • A consultative approach, experience using effective questioning and listening, to understand customers' needs and challenges
  • An excellent storyteller, with the ability to translate complex data and market insights into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong collaborator who shares best practices and customer feedback internally to drive continuous improvement
  • Due to the field-based nature of this role, you will need a valid UK driving licence and a willingness to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary up to £55,000. Car allowance: £6,000 subject to T's & C's
  • Annual Share Award: An additional 10% of your salary awarded in shares each year (vesting over three years).
  • Generous Pension: 7% employer contribution when you contribute 5%.
  • Time Off: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, alongside half-day closures on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive private medical cover, online GP and dental access, and specialist support (assisted fertility, period care, menopause, and gender dysphoria).
  • Perks & Savings: Car salary sacrifice scheme, share-save options, and enhanced family leave policies.
