About the role
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer in our automotive finance technology business, which powers our finance consumer journey on Autotrader and helps our customers optimise their finance operations. Its a service-oriented architecture primarily in .NET 10 processing millions of loan enquiries each month. As a team, our software engineers are responsible for ensuring service availability and responsiveness and continue to improve our systems with 50+ lenders.
What we're looking for
- You should be comfortable working with .NET Core (.NET 5+ or C# 9+)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services know how
- Experience designing service orientated applications
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
- Experience with RabbitMQ or other event-driven architectures
- Building high-throughput applications, with considered application of caching (we use Redis)
- Knowledge of structured logging, including tooling such as Kibana, Elastic Search
- Application monitoring / alerting
- A structured approach to development and testing with a focus on continuous delivery and automation
- Proven experience leading and mentoring others, helping them grow

Benefits
We’re offering a salary of £50,000 – £70,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.
