Service Manager
Location: North East
Contract: Temporary (with potential to go permanent)
Hours: 42 hours per week
Pay: Up to £25 per hour (depending on experience and travel)
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join a well-established and highly successful automotive retailer that forms part of a major dealer group. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Service Manager looking for an immediate start, with an initial booking of at least one month. For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to become permanent. Should the assignment come to an end, we will also actively source your next contract or permanent opportunity.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy aftersales department, ensuring excellent customer service, strong workshop performance, and effective team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the service department’s daily operations
- Driving workshop efficiency and productivity
- Leading and supporting service advisors and workshop staff
- Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
- Monitoring KPIs and ensuring targets are achieved
- Maintaining strong manufacturer and company standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Manager within a franchised dealership environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced aftersales operation
- Experience using Kerridge and/or Pinewood would be highly advantageous
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
