Maintenance Controller
Ampthill, Bedfordshire | £30,000 – £40,000 + Performance Related Bonus | Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
The Opportunity
Due to continued business growth and an upcoming retirement within the team, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Controller to join their established fleet services operation based in Ampthill.
The Role
You will act as the key link between drivers, garages, suppliers and corporate customers, ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently, downtime is minimised and repair costs are effectively controlled.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing vehicle repair and maintenanceauthorisations
- Liaising with drivers, garages,suppliersand corporate customers
- Controlling repair costs and ensuring value for money
- Booking services,maintenanceand repairs
- Monitoring repair progress andminimisingvehicle downtime
- Arranging alternative vehicles whenrequired
- Providing breakdown support,MOTand recall notifications
- Using 1link where applicable
About You
- Experience within Fleet, Automotive, Vehicle Leasing or Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Understanding of vehicle operation and repair fundamentals
- Experience of repairauthorisationand cost control
- Knowledge of 1link desirable
- City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technology qualification or equivalent preferred
- Full UK drivinglicence
