Autotech Recruit is expanding our network of skilled MOT Testers and Vehicle Technicians, and we’re currently looking for qualified professionals interested in Saturday-only contracting opportunities. Our contractors support a wide range of automotive clients, including main dealers, car supermarkets, fast-fit centres, independent garages, councils, and more, covering both short and long-term assignments.

To join Autotech Recruit as a contractor, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or proven time-served experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an MOT Tester, Mechanic, or Vehicle Technician
  • Your own tools (top box only)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel a reasonable distance from home — increased travel often means higher pay
  • A valid MOT licence (minimum 6 months’ experience and 100+ tests completed)
  • A Green RAG Rating (found in your MOT Testing Service Profile)
