A well-established and highly regarded independent automotive business in North London is seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join its friendly and professional workshop team. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Complete repairs relating to brakes, suspension, exhausts, engines, and other vehicle systems.
- Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operations.
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Vehicle Technician with Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Valid MOT Tester licence (or previous MOT testing experience).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Minimum workshop experience preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience working within an independent garage or dealership environment.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and technology.
- Customer-facing experience.
