Autotech Recruit is expanding our network of qualified Vehicle Technicians and MOT Testers, and we’d love for you to be part of it! Our contractors cover long and short-term contracts with a wide range of automotive clients varying from main dealers, car supermarkets, fast fit companies, independent garages, councils and more.
As a contractor/freelancer, you work as many days as you want, earn a higher pay rate than permanent staff, get the variety of working in different places and avoid any of the workshop politics! Worried about consistency of work? No need. Our dedicated team works closely with you to keep you as busy as you like. With nationwide demand, there’s always a customer needing cover asap.
What you’ll need to be an Autotech Recruit contractor:
- A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or proven time served experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a MOT tester, mechanic or vehicle technician
- Your own tools (top box only is required)
- Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
- Flexibility to travel within a reasonable distance from home – the further you travel to work, the better the pay.
- If you are an MOT Tester, you are required to have at least 6 months experience with over 100 tests carried out.
