Location: Hedge End, Hampshire
Salary: £37,000 - £52,000 OTE + Uncapped Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (1 hour lunch)
About the Role
A respected automotive retailer is looking to recruit an experienced Service Technician to join its busy aftersales team in Hedge End. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician seeking a stable Monday-to-Friday role, strong earning potential through an uncapped bonus scheme, and ongoing professional development within a supportive dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify any necessary remedial work.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workshop and manufacturer procedures.
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians where required.
- Liaise with customers when appropriate, providing updates on repairs and servicing.
- Attend ongoing technical and manufacturer training courses.
- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Consistently meet productivity and quality targets.
Requirements
- Relevant automotive qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience working within a dealership or franchise environment preferred.
- MOT Tester qualification advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship.
