An established and well-regarded independent automotive business in Somerset is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join its busy and friendly workshop team.

The Role
Reporting directly to the business owner, you will be responsible for
- Carrying out MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards.
- Diagnosing faults and completing servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles.
- Accurately assessing vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance.
- Providing additional workshop support as required.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Occasionally assisting with customer enquiries and front-of-house support.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester.
- A recognised automotive qualification or apprenticeship background.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
- A valid MOT Testing Licence.
