This is not your typical workshop role. If you enjoy solving complex diagnostic challenges, working with cutting-edge vehicle systems, and supporting retailers at a strategic level — this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a more analytical, impactful position.

The Role:

As a Technical Specialist, you’ll be at the centre of complex diagnostic and repair cases, handling issues that require deep technical expertise, structured analysis, and innovative thinking. Every case is different — some highly technical, others more ambiguous — and you’ll play a crucial role in identifying root causes and implementing long‑term solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert diagnostic and repair support to retailer networks within your region
  • Manage and monitor repair cases, ensuring successful outcomes
  • Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements
  • Analyse performance data and report on trends and recurring issues
  • Support, coach, and guide retailer technicians to improve capability and reduce repeat issues
  • Investigate complex electrical and mechanical faults (remotely and potentially hands‑on)
  • Document technical cases for wider organisational learning
  • Build strong working relationships with retailer partners and internal teams

About You:

This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled automotive professional who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast‑paced, technical environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Master Technician status (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong diagnostics capability, particularly in electrical systems
  • Experience working with complex vehicle systems
  • High voltage / EV experience (desirable)
  • The ability to manage multiple technical cases simultaneously
  • A proactive, “can‑do” attitude with strong communication skills

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary up to £42,170
  • Company laptop
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Pension scheme
  • Healthcare cashback plan
  • Life assurance
  • Car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Excellent career progression opportunities within a global organisation

You’ll be joining a well-established international business with over 30 years of industry expertise, supporting some of the biggest names in the automotive sector. This role offers the chance to step away from purely hands‑on work and move into a more strategic, problem‑solving environment — all while continuing to utilise your technical expertise.
