Autotech Recruit are looking to add qualified Vehicle Technicians to our contracting workforce! Our contractors cover long and short-term contracts with a wide range of automotive clients varying from main dealers, car supermarkets, fast fit companies, independent workshops, councils and more.

As a contractor/freelancer, you work as many days as you want, earn a higher pay rate than permanent staff, get the variety of working in different places and avoid any of the workshop politics! Worried about guarantees of work? No need. We work with you to keep you as busy as you like and have customers all over the country needing cover ASAP.

To be an Autotech Recruit mechanic contractor you will need:

  • A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or time served experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a mot tester, mechanic or vehicle technician role
  • Your own tools (top box only)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
  • To be able to travel a reasonable amount from your home - the further you travel to work, the better the pay.

If you are an MOT Tester, you are required to have at least 6 months experience with a minimum of 100 tests carried out.
