To continue our progress, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer to help us gain even more traction with suppliers, by focusing on building strong relationships and negotiating the best rates.

An Autosmart Assistant Buyer will support the sourcing of indirect goods and services, running the daily operations of the business, and work to manage day to day purchasing routines, using their exceptional communication skills to achieve a win-win in supplier negotiations.

Our Assistant Buyer will:

  • Support the Senior Buyer to maintain a steady supply of quality, cost-effective goods and services from approved suppliers
  • Foster strong and effective working relationships with suppliers to deliver savings and process efficiencies for indirect spend categories
  • Assist the Senior Buyer to negotiate, agree, manage, and measure supplier performance against defined SLAs
  • Participate in a diverse range of procurement and supply chain projects
  • Work cross-functionally, collaborating with colleagues across all departments

Our Assistant Buyer will have:

  • Purchasing / Procurement experience in a similar position
  • A track record of building strong, productive, and effective supplier relationships, using pre-defined SLAs to manage supplier performance
  • A natural curiosity, with a creative and innovative approach to problem solving, and a passion for continuous improvement
  • ERP system experience, with strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills
