We're recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic to join a growing commercial vehicle maintenance operation in Leicester.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys being out on the road, solving problems and working independently. You'll have the freedom of working from your own fully equipped mobile workshop, backed by a supportive team and with excellent opportunities to develop your career.
Working Hours
- 45-hour working week
- Lunch break unpaid
- Flexible start and finish times
- Overtime available for hours worked over 45 per week
The Role
- Servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and braking faults
- Carrying out trailer repairs
- Attending roadside breakdowns when required
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring they remain compliant
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults
- Completing accurate service and repair records
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally
About You
- Previous experience working on HGV trucks and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with trailer repairs
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A positive attitude and pride in your workmanship
- A strong focus on getting the job right first time
