We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing commercial vehicle business in Willenhall. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking for a Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend working, excellent earning potential and the chance to develop your skills across a diverse and specialist fleet.

The successful technician will work on a varied range of vehicles, from 4x4 vehicles through to commercial vehicles up to 32 tonnes, making this a genuinely varied role where no two days are necessarily the same.

The Role

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles.
  • Working on vehicles ranging from 4x4s through to vehicles up to 32 tonnes.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Completing defect repairs and ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Working on a variety of specialist equipment and vehicles.
  • Completing job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records accurately.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure fleet vehicles remain operational and minimise downtime.

About You

  • We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
  • An HGV qualification is preferred, although candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working across a commercial vehicle or fleet environment.
  • A reliable and professional approach to work.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Fleet Experience Preferred

Previous fleet maintenance experience would be advantageous, particularly for candidates who have worked across a varied commercial vehicle fleet.

Training will be available in areas including:
