THE ROLE
As an Experienced Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician, you will carry out a wide range of accident repair duties across multiple disciplines, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer-approved standards. This is an ideal opportunity for a technician who enjoys variety and is confident working across panel, MET, preparation, and paint disciplines to support workshop productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out high-quality panel repairs, panel replacement, and minor structural repairs
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components using manufacturer-approved repair methods
- Complete vehicle preparation work including sanding, masking, priming, and panel finishing
- Carry out minor paint repairs, blending, polishing, and cosmetic refinishing where required
- Identify additional vehicle damage and communicate repair requirements to the Vehicle Damage Assessor or Workshop Controller
- Work collaboratively with Panel, Paint, and MET teams to ensure efficient vehicle throughput and on-time completion
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, BS10125 standards, and company quality procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop while following all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
We're looking for an experienced, adaptable, and quality-driven Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician who takes pride in delivering first-class workmanship across multiple repair disciplines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
- Competent in panel repairs, MET strip and refit, vehicle preparation, and minor paint refinishing
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and manufacturer-approved repair techniques
- Ability to work confidently across multiple repair disciplines while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment while achieving productivity targets
- Positive team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction
- Full UK Driving Licence required
