The Role
As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you'll be the workshop's technical specialist, diagnosing complex faults and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults
- Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standard
- Supporting workshop technicians with technical guidance and complex fault diagnosis
- Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
- Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
- Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, or Master Technician
- Exceptional fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Mazda or Honda experience would be highly desirable, although other manufacturer backgrounds will be considered
- MOT Licence beneficial but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to delivering first-time fixes
