If you're an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician looking for your next opportunity, this role offers excellent earning potential with an OTE of £60,000+ and a basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000+ DOE.

You'll work as part of a skilled Bodyshop team, using your mechanical, electrical, and trim expertise to help restore vehicles to a high standard.

Working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, you'll benefit from a consistent 45-hour working week with no weekend working specified.

The ability to carry out Panel Beating would be a distinct advantage, giving you the opportunity to use a broader range of body repair skills and add even more value within the workshop.

THE ROLE

As a MET Technician, you'll be responsible for the removal, repair, and refitting of mechanical, electrical, and trim components during the vehicle repair process.

Key responsibilities include

  • Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim strip and refit work on accident-damaged vehicles.
  • Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for body and paint repairs.
  • Diagnosing issues with mechanical and electrical systems following vehicle damage.
  • Reassembling vehicles correctly following structural and body repairs.
  • Carrying out functional checks to ensure components and systems operate correctly.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, Estimators, and other workshop colleagues.
  • Ensuring repairs are completed safely and to the required quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician / Vehicle Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim knowledge.
  • Experience with vehicle strip-down and refit procedures.
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and systems.
  • Ability to carry out Panel Beating would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled workshop team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
