The Role

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll play a vital role in the repair process by accurately assessing vehicle damage, producing repair estimates and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting damaged vehicles and preparing accurate repair estimates.
  • Identifying repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Liaising with technicians to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Communicating with customers and insurers throughout the repair process.
  • Managing supplementary estimates where additional repairs are identified.
  • Monitoring repair progress to ensure agreed timescales are achieved.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and estimating records.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service from estimate through to vehicle handover.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator / VDA with excellent technical knowledge and strong customer service skills. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
  • Hold an ATA / IMI accreditation in Vehicle Damage Assessment and proficient in estimating systems such as Audatex / GT Global.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods and estimating procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple repairs simultaneously.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A full UK driving licence.
