Overview
HGV Technician – Haydock, United Kingdom · Fleet · Full-time
We currently have a vacancy for a HGV Technician to join our busy Haydock Depot. Shift Options 45 Hour Week. Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm. Basic Salary between £45,000 Per Annum + Overtime.
Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with VOSA procedure and Company policy.
- Test and check that systems and components are safe, secure and working properly.
- Diagnose faults by isolating systems or components that may have caused or potentially cause a problem.
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle\’s breakdown or damage.
- Gain authorisation to repair or fit parts as required by Company Procedure.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy while working.
- Test drive vehicles where permitted and correct driving license is held.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment as and when required securing the safety of yourself and all personnel.
- To complete all paperwork required for the task/ job completed and return this documentation to the workshop controller immediately on completion of the inspection/work.
- You will be required to assist other technicians with repairs when required, along with completing the workshop controller\’s duties when required.
Requirements
- Appropriate technical qualifications.
- Time Served Tech or NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs.
- MOT preparation experience.
