Overview
HGV Technician — Depot Location: Carlisle. Working Hours: 8pm to 7am (44 hour week), Tuesday to Friday (4 nights a week). Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role. Financial Package: £50,500 to £52,000 Per Annum (£22ph). Benefits Package: Ongoing training and development on new and emerging technology; Very strong pension scheme; Medical insurance; Retail / Holiday discounts; Bike to work scheme.
Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the \’O\’ licence requirements
- Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
- General Servicing and MOT preparation
- Fault finding & diagnostics
- Updating all required paperwork / databases
Qualifications
- Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
- Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
- A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn\’t essential
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
