THE ROLE
As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair leaves the workshop with an exceptional finish.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing repaired vehicles for the painting process, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Mixing and applying paint using modern spray equipment to achieve a flawless finish.
- Colour matching to manufacturer specifications.
- Completing paint refinishing work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure all finishes meet customer and manufacturer expectations.
- Working closely with Panel Beaters, MET Technicians, and workshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Maintaining all spray booth equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Following all health and safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
ABOUT YOU
This role would suit an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Paint Refinisher / Vehicle Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer or Paint Technician within a busy Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
- Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques.
- Strong colour matching and blending skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent repair standards.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
