An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Agricultural Technician to join a well‑established and growing business. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of modern agricultural machinery, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections both in the workshop and out in the field.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime available during weekdays and weekends.
The Role: As an Agricultural Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of agricultural equipment, ensuring machinery remains reliable and operational for customers.
Key Duties Include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Completing pre‑delivery inspections on new machinery.
- Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and service software.
- Completing job reports and service records electronically.
- Attending manufacturer training courses to maintain technical knowledge.
- Promoting dealership services and supporting customer relationships.
- Working closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Agricultural Technician is essential.
- Experience working on tractors, combines, sprayers, balers and other agricultural equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
- Good hydraulic, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using diagnostic systems.
- Experience working on AGCO products would be advantageous but is not essential.
