THE ROLE


As a Bodyshop Paint Finisher, you'll be responsible for the final stages of vehicle paintwork, ensuring repaired and refinished areas are correctly prepared, refined, and presented to a high standard.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Carrying out paint finishing and correction work on repaired and refinished vehicle panels.

  • Identifying and rectifying imperfections such as dust, runs, orange peel, and minor paint defects.

  • Carrying out machine polishing, flatting, and refining using appropriate equipment and compounds.

  • Preparing painted surfaces for final presentation and vehicle handover.

  • Working closely with Paint Sprayers and other Bodyshop technicians to ensure repairs meet the required quality standards.

  • Inspecting completed paintwork and carrying out any necessary refinishing or correction work.

  • Maintaining polishing equipment, tools, and materials in good working condition.

  • Keeping the working area clean, safe, and professionally maintained.


ABOUT YOU


This opportunity would suit an experienced Bodyshop Paint Finisher / Paint Finisher / Paint Refinisher with a strong eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes.


You'll ideally have:



  • Previous experience as a Paint Finisher within a Bodyshop, accident repair centre, or automotive refinishing environment.

  • Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of paint finishing, machine polishing, flatting, and paint correction techniques.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing a high-quality final finish.

  • The ability to identify and correct paint imperfections effectively.

  • Good organisation and time management skills.

  • A full UK driving licence.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
