THE ROLE

As an Experienced Multi-Skilled MET Technician, you will be responsible for stripping, repairing and rebuilding the mechanical, electrical and trim components of accident-damaged vehicles. You'll play an important role within the bodyshop production process, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles
  • Carry out MET repairs and replacement of components in accordance with manufacturer repair methods
  • Complete vehicle strip and refit work accurately and efficiently to support the wider repair process
  • Carry out four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments where required
  • Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults during the repair process
  • Work closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Technicians, Preppers, Estimators and Workshop Controllers
  • Ensure vehicles are correctly protected throughout all stages of repair
  • Follow manufacturer procedures, bodyshop quality standards, Health & Safety and COSHH requirements

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced and technically capable Multi-Skilled MET Technician who can confidently work across mechanical, electrical and trim systems and takes pride in delivering high-quality accident repairs.

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
  • Strong experience carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs
  • Confident stripping and rebuilding vehicles following accident damage
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle systems and manufacturer repair procedures
  • Experience with four-wheel alignment is advantageous
  • Experience working on modern and electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently to production times, KPIs and quality standards
  • Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • IMI and/or ATA qualification is advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
