The Role
As an Auto Electrician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment across a range of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
- Repairing vehicle wiring, electrical systems, and components
- Tracing and rectifying complex electrical faults
- Installing bespoke electrical equipment and vehicle accessories
- Fitting parking sensors and additional electrical equipment to older vehicles
- Testing electrical systems following repairs and installations
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Accurately recording completed repairs and installations
- Working efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail
About You
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant automotive or electrical discipline
- Previous experience as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle Electrician, Automotive Electrician, or similar
- Strong vehicle electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience repairing vehicle wiring and electrical systems
- Experience installing aftermarket or bespoke electrical equipment
- The ability to work confidently and independently when diagnosing faults
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- A practical, problem-solving approach
