Autoscan UK Limited is a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Resident Quality Engineer for an exciting opportunity based in the Chichester area of West Sussex.

You will attend the point of concern on the production line, assess and define problems in collaboration with production and quality teams, and organise and carry out inspection activities to support effective root-cause identification.

Where possible, you will perform practical rework and repair activities to minimise production disruption, including connector replacement, breakout position correction, taping of redundant connectors, harness clip relocation, and connector re-pinning.

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, be able to communicate at all levels and be familiar with problem solving and 8D methodology.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Rotational shifts, i.e. 1 week AM shifts followed by 1 week PM shifts).

Please Note: All candidates must possess valid right to work in the UK without restrictions and must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS).

  • Knowledge of automotive OEM & Tier 1 Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS)
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, connectors, and diagnostic tools
  • Methodical approach to problem solving of electrical issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high build quality and safety
