Autoscan UK Ltd is a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Quality Lead to take ownership of supplier quality performance and customer issue resolution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role sits at the centre of supplier, production, logistics, and customer interaction — ensuring parts are delivered on time, in full, and to the correct standards, while driving immediate containment and long-term corrective actions where issues arise.

You will lead quality activities across the supply chain, working cross-functionally to protect production continuity and customer satisfaction. The role involves working closely with Supply Chain to resolve issues swiftly and prevent production disruption, while driving OTIF (On Time In Full) performance. You will lead immediate containment actions for quality concerns, implement permanent corrective action plans using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, PPS), and manage customer-reported issues through to on-site resolution.

The position requires daily collaboration with Production, Logistics, and internal Quality teams, conducting supplier visits to drive performance improvement and accountability, hosting customer visits, and leading APQP activities including PPAP submissions and approvals.

Requirements

  • Experience within an automotive manufacturing environment or similar is essential
  • Proven experience in supplier quality, STA or a similar quality leadership role preferably within automotive manufacturing
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with suppliers and customers with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes
  • Resilient problem solver with a solid understanding and experience of problem solving tools such as 8D, PPS
  • Flexible and responsive to changing business needs with strong ability to prioritise effectively
